How I connect to the Universe

We are all the same. We are living things that are made up of the same elements: carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen. We rely on other living things so we can live. We breathe in oxygen produced by plants and trees, which take in our carbon dioxide and pollution to make the air cleaner. All our species are interlinked with each other and that should compel us to treat other living things as we would like to be treated. I am connected to the universe in that I participate in protecting this precious balance between us.
Our world is grand and has blessed us with everything we need to be a self sustaining planet and species. But man has historically upset this balance over and over again. Our ambition caused us to collapse as a society and outstrip our natural resources; we forgot to give back to the universe. Now we face another failed empire of different realities, where some starve while others waste food and neglect the true value of things. So where do I fit in this mess?

The world provides to me and I reciprocally give back to it by helping restore the overall balance. Giving back to society so that we cannot forget the simple, yet grand gifts that Mother Nature has provided us, helps me stay grounded and focused on the more important things in life. Besides recycling and refraining from throwing away household batteries in the trash, I focus on inspiring, motivating and helping people. This causes a butterfly effect and in turn impacts those that come in contact with us. We are raised in a culture where we must thrive financially to survive where we live. Rather than accepting and respecting what the universe has created for us, we selfishly take and damage. So when people see the good in others, they continue on a journey of respect for one another and the things that surround us.
